ABOUT

 

Concerned Citizens for Roslyn Youth, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Community Based Organization incorporated by the CEO/Founder in 1979.  

Throughout the school year, our program is designed to help support students in our local area.

Safe Places After School and Summer Program provides a safe educational environment to complete homework and better their understanding in subjects where our students are challenged from September through June.  

During the July and August, we incorporate 6 weeks of fun and reading for 5 - 13 year olds.  We have a Summer Youth Employment Program for 14 - 21 year old in school youth provided by the New York State Department of Labor Job Training and Partnership Act through. These youth also receive Peer Mediation Training provided by the Education Assistance Center and Job Skills Training Workshops.  The summer staff also receives a summer reading assignment.

Walk in services including but not limited to, on site Notary, Internet access, Resume writing support, Crisis intervention, housing, employment and drug treatment advocacy/referral.

We provide a safe haven for students offering enrichment, recreational, education activities and resources.

We are dedicated and committed to enhancing our program participants social and emotional development. Our mission is to serve our families by supporting their effort to meet five of the six areas of need for successful personal growth and development.

We are coordinating a Volunteer program with Roslyn Public School District to make helping our students as seamless as possible.
